The moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia. 1st of Dhul Hijjah 1444h will be on Monday June 19, 2023, Arafah will be on Tuesday June 27th, and Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on Wednesday June 28 2023 - Insha'Allah.

Supreme Court: Tomorrow is 1st Day of Dhu Al-Hijjah

Jeddah, June 18, 2023, SPA -- The Supreme Court announced today that tomorrow, Monday, will be the first day of Dhu Al-Hijjah, according to the Umm al-Qura calendar, corresponding to June 19, 2023, as the crescent of the month of Dhu Al-Hijjah was sighted today.
The Supreme Court decided that standing at Arafat shall be on Tuesday, the ninth day of Dhu al-Hijjah for this Year, 1444 AH, corresponding to June 27, 2023, and the blessed Eid al-Adha shall be on the following day, Wednesday.

We are very pleased to announce that another organization, Islamic Center of Old Bridge (ICOB) has joined Muslim Center of Middlesex County (MCMC), Muslim Community of New Jersey (MCNJ), Masjid Al-Wali, and Islamic Center of East Brunswick (ICEB) in the ‘Hijri Calendar Committee’. The ‘Hijri Calendar Committee’ will declare the start of the Islamic (Hijri) months based on the agreed upon policy. We pray that Allah Subhanhu wata’la continue to put barakah in this beautiful effort of uniting Muslims living in our communities in the celebration of our blessed occasions and festivals.

With the infinite blessings and mercy of Allah Subhanahu wata'la, we are pleased to announce about an unprecedented show of unity and cooperation between the four local Islamic Centers. In a time, when disagreements and refutations thrive and indulge people, any sign and gesture of unity is a time to celebrate.

Muslim Center of Middlesex County (MCMC), Muslim Community of New Jersey (MCNJ), Masjid Al-Wali, and Islamic Center of East Brunswick (ICEB) have agreed on a unified policy for declaring the start of the Islamic (Hijri) months. 

We have formed a committee, ‘Hijri Calendar Committee’ which will be responsible for making these decisions. 

We pray that Allah Subhanhu wata’la put barakah this beautiful effort of unifying Muslims living in the Central Jersey and surrounding areas in the celebration of these blessed occasions and festivals.
